Based on the statue of St George in Prague,Czech Republic.

Most of my study for this saddle came from the plaster replica of the original statue. The plaster replica is in the casts court of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, England.

This is quite a light saddle compared to my others, since it is not “armoured” with steel plates. The primary decoration comes from brass plates I stamped and combined with other attached plates, along with decorative dome-head tacks.

To allow for comfortable fit on a variety of other horses’ backs, I fabricated flocked, or padded panels, which lace to the underside of the saddle tree.

Wood, leather, steel, textile, brass.
