Package includes one shirt and one pair of braies which are made if high quality linen, expertly cut and professionally sewn for a polished look and long life.  Both garments are based on extant garments and/or period artwork and have no visible machine stitching.

Shirt is based on the shirt of St. Louis (King Louis IX of France), which is preserved in Notre Dame, Paris. The original dates to 1250, and is said to be the oldest extant undergarment. Our shirt copies the cut of the original, and is made of fine white linen.

Braies are simple, boxer style underwear as seen in the Four Seasons of the House of Cerruti (“Barley”), Tacuinum Sanitatis (“Rye”) and other manuscripts of the 14th century.   Opaque linen with pairs of eyelets over the hips to suspend chausses. (Model is wearing chausses, which are not included in this package)
