Paternoster, 'Mendel Hausbuch'- (1388)

Suitable for mid and lower status portrayals for the period c. 1385 - 1415.

All of our prayer beads are based on extant originals and/or visual examples. These are based on 2 versions of the Mendel Hausbuch (Die Mendelschen und Landauerschen Hausbücher) dated 1388 and 1425, respectively.

• Style #1 - Dark brown wood beads, bone gauds, brown cord, brown/white tassel (Amb. 317.2, f13r)
  Style #2 - Black wood beads, bone gauds, black cord, red/white tassel (Amb. 317.2, f58v)

Paternoster comes with storage bag and information about religion and the use of prayer beads in medieval Europe. Sheet also contains the Pater Noster and Ave Maria prayers in Latin.
