Shoes, Poulaines, Custom made

Based on front-laced one-piece shoe #99 in "Museum of London's Shoes and Pattens - Medieval Finds from Excavations in London", late 14th century.

Seams are hand-stitched with 100% linen thread, utilizing medieval stitching methods. We use soft, strong leathers particularly suited for making shoes.

Regular soles are leather, approximately 1/4" to 5/16" thick.

For proper sizing, we require that you provide your modern US or European shoe size AND foot tracing. Trace one foot in sock with your weight even on both feet. Make 1 inch box within the foot tracing for proper scaling. Please send by email as a jpg or pdf attachment, or post to our address as listed in our "Contact" page.

"Clump" soles not available on this model.

NOTE: Available in Men's sizes 8 and 11 (Women's  10 and 13) only. We are not able to supply Poulaines in other sizes as we have lasts for only those two sizes.
