Made by Trinity Court Potteries in England, this useful little jar can be used for almost anything- spices, medicinal ointments and salves, cooking fat, painting pigments and armour polish are just a few. Add a waxed linen cover to keep the contents clean and contained.

The jar is made in a typical 14th- 15th C. waisted style of white clay with a green glaze. Indented scratch marks in the clay are a useful detail that allow a cover to be tied on securely. Pair with 4" waxed covers of unbleached linen impregnated with beeswax to keep contents clean and dry. Covers crimp over jar edge and will cling if heated slightly with the hand. (Covers are sold separately and are not included with pots)

Jar is approx 2.75" tall by 2.75" wide at the rim and holds approx 1/3 cup / 4 oz.
