The Maidenhead was a relatively common form of late medieval pewter spoon, the earliest known reference to the type being in an inventory of Durham Priory, dated 1446. It is believed that the bust may represent the Virgin Mary. This replica is based on an original in the Museum of London.

6" long x 1-3/4" wide.

Highly polished pewter.
