All of the spurs below are cast in gold-colored silicon bronze, complete with historically correct hooks and buckles, which are also made of bronze.
The straps can be easily removed for cleaning or replacement, without any special tools.
Our spurs our specifically designed for wear with historically accurate footwear contemporary with each style of spur. It is very unlikely that they will fit over any modern boots, as the soles and heel areas are constructed very differently than medieval footwear. Namely, the heel area on modern shoes is reinforced and very bulky. Our spurs are modeled directly from the originals in both shape and size. They should be considered "one size fits most" and are rather narrow in the heel plate which works fine with most replica footwear. If spurs are purchased to use with modern footwear or are modified in any way, we can not offer returns.
Please note that these spurs are sized for an average foot, wearing proper medieval shoes or close fitting boots. They are not sized to fit over "harness" or "engineer" style boots, which are bulkier than medieval footwear.
