Smaller hood especially suitable for wear under a helmet or hat. When the front edge is turned back the hood is drawn close to the face to seal out the weather from the neck and ears. The turn back draws and also provides extra cushioning on the top of the head, especially useful under a helmet.

This type of hood is well documented in the "Mittelalterliches Hausbuch" as being worn by a wide range of social classes. No visible exterior machine stitching.

One size.

Wool w/ self fringe
