Hemp thread, 3 ply splittable

Excellent quality wet spun Romanian hemp is smooth, strong and perfect for all types of historical projects ranging from bookbinding, sewing shoes and fletching to hand sewing garments.  3 ply twist can be used full ply for heavier projects and splits down cleanly for fine hand sewing. Waxing is recommended for sewing applications. Jeff makes each of the winders by hand, and they look great in your sewing basket or tool kit and can be reused long after the thread is gone.
