Sleeves, Ladies, 15th C. Damask or Brocade, CUSTOM

Removable sleeves are worn pinned to the short sleeve of the gown. Beautifully made of assorted brocades and damasks to compliment any outfit, fully lined in linen.

Although commonly seen in many images from the period, pin on sleeves are most famously seen in  

  • The portrait of Mary Magdalene by Rogier van der Weyden (rich polychrome cut velvet, 1450)
  • The Deposition altarpiece (solid damask, van der Weyden, 1443)
  • The Seven Sacraments (solid wool or linen, van der Weyden, 1445-50)

Made of assorted fancy fabrics lined in linen or faux silk, no visible stitching.
Comes with 2 dressing pins to secure the sleeves to the gown.

  • Large - 16" bicep, 19" long
  • X Large - 18" bicep, 19.5" long
