White with blue striped and patterned fabrics were produced in Italy and were a major export from the 12-16th C. Most often seen as table and domestic linens, striped cloths were also popular as wrapped headwear, especially in Italy.
Clear instructions for wrapping are included- once wrapped, the hair is kept clean and neat with no additional fussing or adjusting. A wonderful and unique finishing touch to a common or mid-status portrayal.
Made of a lighter weight fabric with indigo blue dyed weft pattern and flirty hand knotted fringe ends, this is a pretty, easy to wear style.
Linen warp/cotton weft. Woven pattern in indigo dyed cotton. Approx 15" x 120". Machine wash/dry.
