Gown, Viking apron, (Hangeroc), linen M20

The pattern for our 'Hangeroc' or Viking Apron dress is extrapolated from the description of extant pieces from the Hedeby find. Garment is made up of 6 panels: 2 rectangular center front and center back panels, plus 4 tapered side pieces which match the description given for the Hedeby find (i.e. A 'funnel' shaped piece that is straight on one side, rectangular at the top and flaring out from where the waist is supposed to have been). Straps run over each shoulder and are pinned in place on the edge of the center front panel. (Pins not provided).
