This arm harness represents a very practical evolution in limb protection favored by the English and Germans in the last third of the 15th century. Ours are based on examples in the Wallace Collection, London and in the Royal Armouries, Leeds. Although many surviving examples sport fluting and cusped edges, ours are slightly simplified, but still retain the elegant and beautiful lines of "gothic" armour.
Upper cannons are hand shaped, fully encompassing the arm and include arming tabs on their upper edge for pointing to an arming coat. Includes straps with historically correct bronze buckles. Lower cannons are fully shaped to follow the contours of the arm, and feature handmade hinges and hand turned rolls.
Fluted shown on lower cannon is not included.
Pictured with our 15th Century Spaulders (sold separately).
