Simplified version of a late 16th century shirt in the costume collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC. This style is well documeted in Nicholas Hilliard's portraits, and was most popular between 1540 -1600. Front slit with small "falling band" collar and turn back cuffs. Hand cast pewter button at wrist, hand plied cord tie at neck. Fingertip length. Ivory linen. Narrow bobbin lace on collar and cuff. Minimal visible exterior machine stitching.
One size fits up to 48" chest, 17" neck.
