The original artefact from which this replica is taken was found in the River Seine. Items of pewter jewelry such as this imitated the magnificent and gaudy jewels so loved by the nobility.

Description: Annular brooch of intricate detail, set with smooth amethysts and citrines.
Period: 14th–15th C
Material: Lead free pewter, amythest, citrine
Provenance: Found in the River Seine, now residing in the collection of the Musee de Cluny, Paris.
