As a hood it fits very comfortably, but my favorite part is how the hood lays down when partially unbuttoned. Unlike most hoods that bu ch up at the throat, it creates a neat "collar" effect that I enjoy. Since it is reversible, the buttons are on the edge instead of on the fabric. It was confusing at first to figure out how to make the buttons stay on, but didn't take long to figure out. The hood comes with some extra matching buttons, which is superb.
