I ordered this set for my two and half year old son, in size small. It was perfect. I was able to take up the hems for him to wear immediately, and then let them out a year later for him to continue wearing. He's now at the point of outgrowing the set but it has held up quite nicely, so the smock will be passed to his younger cousin and the surcoat to the son of friends in our re-enactment group.
My only complaint is with the coif, which never fit him at all. It wasn't deep enough to even cover his ears, and the curve from crown to the front was too steep making it stick up in a funny way on the top of his head.
