Boots, Thigh High Riding, Custom made

15th Century style, as seen in the manuscript illustrations of King Rene' of Anjou's Tournament book and 'Book of Love'. This is a special purpose boot, intended for riding. If you intend to wear these for walking primarily, we recommend stitching a tab of leather inside the shaft near the top (on the outside of the leg), so you can 'point' them to your doublet or a belt.

"No closure" style requires spurs to hold down the foldover. Style with closures has buckled straps at the ankle and the top of the calf.

For proper sizing, we require that you provide your modern US or European shoe size AND foot tracing. Trace one foot in sock with your weight even on both feet. Make 1 inch box within the foot tracing for proper scaling. Please send by email as a jpg or pdf attachment, or post to our address as listed in our "Contact" page.

Leg measurements are also required. Please refer to our Boot Measurement Chart, and submit all noted measurements.

"Clump" soles not available on this model. All visible seams and soles stitched by hand.

Elkskin upper, Veg tanned sole.

Custom made to order especially for you by Jeffrey Hedgecock. Please allow 12-16 weeks for production.

Sizes noted below are US MEN'S SIZES.
