Turban, 13th-15th C.

This style seems to have been especially popular in the Italian States and Holy Roman Empire (Germany). Often worn with a rectangular veil over top, especially in Italy. Clear instructions for wrapping are included- once wrapped, the hair is kept clean and neat with no additional fussing or adjusting. A wonderful choice for cooks and workers who must keep their hair out of the way. Braids showing over ears is a typically German/Swiss fashion. Can be combined with the 15th C. veil and wimple set for a more covered-up look.
