Will my armour dent? |
|
Answer: |
| No armour is indestructible. Historical field armour was intended for short duration use, usually a single battle, after which it was expected to receive immediate maintainence and repair. Field armour was not expected to survive multiple battles nor last for months or years without proper care and attention, and was often replaced when damaged or out of style. While spring steel is quite tough, it shouldn’t be considered immune from damage. Mild steel armour must be made quite thick to sufficiently resist denting, significantly increasing weight. |
