Vamplate for Jousting Lance

ANOTHER QUALITY HISTORIC ENTERPRISES, INC. -EXCLUSIVE- PRODUCT!!

This very strong vamplate will protect the lance hand of a jouster and makes optional the need for a right gauntlet when jousting. Based on an early 16th century German example.

When placed on our -HEAVY- hardwood jousting lance, the placement of the vamplate is such that it is far enough forward of the lance grip to allow room for the hand, minimizing many of the injuries seen by the vamplate being forced back into the hand. In most cases, the vamplate will contact the body armour before contacting the hand.

Though this item is designed specifically for use with our -Heavy- Jousting lance, it will fit our Light lance, though not quite as nicely. It may have a slight gap due to a difference in taper of the mating surfaces, and it will be positioned further back toward the lance's grip.

-16 ga. thickness.
-1.5 pounds.
