The pattern for our 'Hangeroc' or Viking Apron dress is extrapolated from the description of extant pieces from the Hedeby find. Garment is made up of 6 panels: 2 unshaped rectangles center front and center back, plus 2 tapered pieces which match the description given for the Hedeby find (i.e. A 'funnel' shaped piece that is straight on one side, rectangular at the top and flaring out from where the waist is supposed to have been).

The hangeroc is available in stock sizes or made to order at additional cost.

Stock sizes for the hangeroc are:

• Small - 32”-34” bust
• Medium - 36”-38” bust
• Large- 40”-42” bust
• XL- 44”-46” bust
• Custom/Made to Order- (+$20)

Colours for this garment have been carefully matched to natural dye samples. Developed in consultation with the Authenticity Officers for Regia Anglorum in the US and UK, as well as the Authenticity Officers for the Vikings UK and NA. This garment conforms to current Regia Anglorum and Vikings kit standards.
