Garters, tied, pair

'Knytt netherstockes of worsted' and other legwear required garters to hold them up. Chausses often benefit from garters below the knee to keep them sleek and smooth over the calf. By the 1320s men's garters had become a conspicuous and colourful accessory and were often satirised in contemporary art.

These budget priced tied garters are the perfect thing to keep your chausses, hose , and women's stockings from sagging! Decorative and long-wearing garters range in width from 5/8" (16 mm) to 1" (26mm) for comfort and hold. Various materials as noted, all chosen to give the correct historical appearance. All styles are finished with a v-cut end self fringe.
