Camp Wagon, large size

These wagons are called “Goat carts” by the Amish, and are small versions of larger, horse drawn wagons. Although the traditional design of these wagons dates to the 1700s, similar styles were in use during the Middle Ages and may be seen in the works of Albrecht Durer and Pieter Bruegel, as well as the Schilling Chronicles and Mittelalterliches Hausbuch.

Each high quality wagon is made by Amish craftsmen in Lancaster County PA. The wagons have an all-hardwood body and wheels of solid steam bent hickory. The wheels have a a wooden hub and are bound with metal bands. Wagons easily handle a payload of 50# or more, and removable rails on front and back accommodate oversized loads.

Ash hardwood body. Available in natural wood or red stain. Delivered packed flat, some simple assembly required. Large/heavy package requires additional shipping surcharge.
