Our master armourer Jeffrey Hedgecock recently completed a circa 1470 Italian export jousting harness based largely on the armour depicted in the stone effigy of Ulrich Busch, a German who died in the mid-late 15th century. Part of the commission involved recreating the cuirass buckle from the effigy which is a prominent stylistic element of the carving, being "front and center" of the figure.
Jeffrey has captured the elegance and detail of the original carving, and you too can integrate this wonderful piece into your armour, belt or purse!
Our buckle has been used recently in Mord Sith costumes created for the TV series "Legend of the Seeker". Don't settle for copies-- this is the original!
1-3/4" wide x 1-1/4" high.
